Gentlemen,
We had an unfortunate situation during the Fall-2016 tapeball league Division A semifinal game between King Cobras CC and IncredibleIndians. One of the King Cobras CC players that played for Dallas DareDevils teamearlier in the same league played a significant role for King Cobras CC intheir play-off Semi-Finals game. DCL rules and the bylaws strictly prohibitplayers playing for more than one team in the same tournament. Hence, thefollowing decisions/actions have been taken by the DCL Management.
-
The semi-final match between Incredible Indiansand King Cobras CC has been awarded to Incredible Indians; result of the game thatwas played will be nullified.
-
The player that played for King Cobras CC in thesemi-final game after playing for another team in the league stage has beensuspended for three games. This player will have to sit-out the next threegames that his team plays in the DCL tape ball league.
The DCL management understands that this may not be an intentionalact by the King Cobras CC captain; however, it’s the captain’s responsibilityto do the necessary due diligence before recruiting a new player to the teamand to make sure the team understands and follows the DCL Rules and bylaws. If the Captain or the Vice Captain is not sure about any player who plays in DCL/DLCL they can always send an email to dclmgmt@gmail.com and ask them to check the DCL/DLCL database to find out about the player details. Wehope that this will serve as a deterrent to all the teams and the players toindulge in such activities. DCL Management will not hesitate to take harsher actionsto curb such activities by players and captains in order to make the DCLcommunity stronger.
